In most modern bookings you do not need to reconfirm flights in the old sense, but it is still wise to check your flight details in the days before you travel. Schedules can shift, and a quick look means you learn of any change with time to react rather than at the airport.
Keep an eye on the contact email and phone you gave when booking, because that is how any change would reach you. Adding the airline's own updates, where available, gives you a second source so nothing slips through.
On the day, arrive in good time, since check in and security often take longer than expected, especially during busy periods. A short check beforehand and an early arrival together remove most of the common ways a journey starts badly, and they cost you nothing but a few minutes.
